Mr. Rowald understands the complexities
of intellectual property law and is unique in that he has not
only written and prosecuted patent applications, but has tried
patent cases to both juries and the bench in several jurisdictions
and has handled and argued several appeals in both Texas and
Federal jurisdictions. Mr. Rowald uniquely bridges the gap
between litigation specialists and IP specialists. From his
extensive experience in the patent office and the courtroom,
he has the insight into how the two are inextricably related.
This allows him to advise clients from their initial need to
protect their intellectual properties to licensing negotiations
to litigation and the interaction and affects of actions taken
during each stage. He also knows how leveraging technical knowledge
early in a proceeding can help win a Markman hearing which
can lead to an early, favorable resolution of a lawsuit.
Mr. Rowald's clients benefit from his ability to distill complex
technical issues and present his client's story to the judge
and jurors in compelling ways. This also allows him to provide
clients with quality representation in mediation, arbitration
and litigation of all types of patent, trademark, copyright,
trade secret and related matters. His unique combination of
the substantial IP related trial experience allows him to tailor
the staffing of each case to its unique needs. This practice
includes representation across the nation and coordination
of cases around the world. |
