| Mr. Rowald has been practicing intellectual
property law since 1989. Although Mr. Rowald's practice
focuses on litigation related to patents, trademarks,
copyrights, trade secrets and general intellectual property
matters, he is also involved in the procurement of patents,
primarily in the technical areas of chemistry, chemical
processes and mechanical systems. He has also helped
with intellectual property due diligence issues. |

Intellectual property rights are assets of great value. Mr.
Rowald represents clients in protecting and enforcing these
important rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights
and trade secrets. Our trial lawyers have extensive experience
in litigating and trying intellectual property disputes,
and represent clients in cases concerning biotechnology,
chemical, computer, electrical and other complex technologies.
Mr. Rowald draws upon the expertise of the patent lawyers
with various technical disciplines that are consulted on an as needed basis to aid in these endeavors. Mr. Rowald has been
involved in numerous cases that have defined the scope of
intellectual property rights. These cases resulted in decisions
at various District Courts and Courts of Appeals, including
the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the special
appeals court for patent cases, the Board of Patent Appeals
and Interferences, the special appellate board for patent
office decisions, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the
special board for trying trademark matters that are pending
before the trademark office, and the Supreme Court of the
United States.
